Raiders X-Factors against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 Week 14

1. Improved Quarterback Play

It wouldn’t take Albert Einstein to figure out this equation. The play of quarterback Derek Carr as of late has been lethargic, and has been one of the key reasons the Raiders have been so flat as of late. After starting out the season in MVP form, the eight-year starting quarterback has fallen back down to earth.

His stats since the Week eight bye have been horrendous except for one salvaging victory in Dallas on Thanksgiving. A lot can be said for the disaster’s outside of football that have nearly doomed this team, however, excuses are null and void for a quarterback that has led this franchise to one playoff appearance in nearly a decade.

He has to improve for the Raiders to have a chance in this one, the Chiefs crushed the Raiders 41-14 in their first contest this season, and of course will likely put up nearly the same amount of points, if not more.

Carr will have to air it out consistently in this one for the Raiders to have a shot, and he must do better in finding the open man and reading the the opposing defense. #4 is the biggest X-Factor in what will be a difficult task come Sunday.
