Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Week 14 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Start ‘Em

Josh Jacobs, Running Back

He is on the opposite side of the spectrum this week. Last week I called on fantasy owners to avoid the third-year back who is struggling mightily this season. Honestly, he was very productive last week.

He only mustered 52 yards rushing on the ground, but he was able to provide the ever-so-valuable touchdown to go along with nine receptions. In PPR leagues, I’m sure he won someone a league or two. Entering this contest, he has to be started not off the back of his solid Week 13 play, but because he is basically alone in the backfield.

With the season-ending injury to backup running back Kenyan Drake, Jacobs will be counted on more than ever. Drake seemed to be the preferred option in the passing game, but now with his broken ankle sidelining him for the rest of the reason, Jacobs becomes a three-down back at will. If you have the back on your roster, he is a MUST start going into Arrowhead stadium this week.

Hunter Renfrow, Wide Receiver

I feel like if you go back to every Fantasy article at JustBlogBaby, you would likely see the slot receiver’s name pop up. I would throw out a different name here… But why lie to ourselves? The third-year man out of Clemson is playing out of his mind this season, and this was evident from his dazzling performance against the Washington Football Team in Week 13.

In terms of targets and production, you should never look past the talented slot receiver. Week-by-Week he shows up and has been the only consistent receiving threat for quarterback Derek Carr this season. This will not change, especially as the Raiders will have to pursue a shootout to compete with the high octane offense of the Chiefs this Sunday.

If you happen to have the luxury of having the receiver on your roster, you know the drill — Start em!
