The Las Vegas Raiders take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 14, and here are three bold predictions for the matchup.

The Las Vegas Raiders will travel to Kansas City and Arrowhead Stadium for an early Sunday afternoon divisional battle against the Chiefs. The Raiders will surely be looking to exact revenge on the Chiefs after Kansas City came into Las Vegas a few weeks ago and won 41-14. The Chiefs, on the other hand, will look to extend their five-game winning streak against a Raiders team that they have beaten seven out of the last eight times.

The Raiders’ 2021 season is hanging on by a thread and they find themselves in a must-win situation on the road against the two-time defending AFC champions. It is certainly not an enviable position, but it is one they’ve put themselves in.

A Las Vegas loss on Sunday would essentially put their fleeting playoff hopes to rest. After this week, the Raiders will play all of their games against other teams fighting for playoff spots. Losing this week and then winning out, which is probably what it would take to reach the postseason, does not seem likely.

While the Raiders have once again suffered a midseason collapse, the Chiefs have recovered masterfully from their slow start to the season. Since a 3-4 start to the season, Kansas City has won five straight games. Patrick Mahomes continues to look more and more like himself and the Chiefs defense has had a miraculous turnaround.

In a week 10 primetime meeting, the then-5-3 Raiders were completely dominated by the Chiefs. Kansas City scored 41 points and didn’t punt a single time throughout the game. In fact, the only game that the Chiefs offense has truly looked like the Chiefs offense from the past couple of years was against the Raiders.

If the Raiders hope for a different result on Sunday, they must vastly improve on both sides of the ball from their first meeting. As we inch closer to what is feeling more and more like a Raiders’ last stand, let’s take a look at a few bold predictions for week 14.
