It feels like we say this every year, but the 2022 NFL Draft will be huge for the Raiders if they want any chance of turning this franchise around.

The college football regular season is over, and we’ll be hearing players declare for the draft, which is a sign that draft season is around the corner. For the Las Vegas Raiders, they are still trying to make one last attempt at the playoffs, but this season has shown that there are plenty of holes left to fill.

However, with a new head coach on the horizon for 2022, this team could be in the process of another identity change both on the field and in the draft room. In the past, it has been 51 percent, Jon Gruden, making the picks, which basically meant that he had the final say of any player the Silver and Black took.

Now, if he returns, Mike Mayock will be calling the shots, and while the Raiders have failed in terms of the first round, he has hit some home runs in the later rounds. So as we examine this mock draft, we focused on areas within the roster that will need upgrades regardless of who takes over as head coach.

Utilizing the Draft Network’s Mock Draft Machine, we tried our hand at a full 7-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft for the Raiders.

Let’s dive in.
