As we said in the opening slide, this is the sort of game that causes massive turnover in an organization. This was reminiscent of the 52-0 loss to the St Louis Rams that ended Tony Sparano’s chances at becoming the Raiders head coach the following season. Rich Bisaccia was always a long shot to keep this job, but this game should be the nail in the coffin as the entire team looked unprepared from the first snap of the game.
The Raiders were poor in every phase of the game as they could get nothing going on offense until the Chiefs were playing prevent and could not generate a stop on defense. Of course, it’s hard to get stops when the offense keeps giving the other team short fields because of stupid turnovers but they still did nothing to stop the bleeding and let themselves get embarrassed.
This was officially the worst loss to the Chiefs in Raiders history and further highlights the gulf in class between these two teams. The Chiefs have been having the best period in their franchise’s history while the Raiders have been mired in mediocrity and controversy on and off the field.
This organization needs a major overhaul from top to bottom and that starts with the coaching staff who have failed to make any real adjustments during this bleak period after the bye week. Major changes will be coming on the roster as well with a change at QB perhaps at the top of the list as the team can’t just keep doing the same thing over and over.

It’s unfortunate that it likely took an embarrassing loss like this to force these changes but there were plenty of other bad losses that should have pushed the team in this direction. The Raiders now sit at 6-7 and it seemed inconceivable when they were 5-2 but 6-11 and a top 10 pick is now on the table for this team.
