Las Vegas X-Factors against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15

The Playbook

It may seem like common sense to change up the play-calling when you have lost five out of your last six since coming off a bye — but this must be discussed.

As much criticism as the Raiders offense and quarterback Derek Carr is receiving, it seems as if even a blind man could call what the Raiders are going to do on offense.

The play of this offense has been stagnant since the Week eight bye, and you can’t put all of the blame just on play-calling, but offensive coordinator Greg Olson has done a terrible job in putting a game-plan in place for this offense to succeed.

Yes, the Raiders offense has been shorthanded with injuries and outside circumstances that have thinned out this roster, but like we said before, the show must go on. The Raiders have done a poor job in adapting, and the playbook has led the opposing defense to follow the Raiders’ most important players like flies as the play-calling has led to the same routines over and over.

The play-calling has to change, and the creativity here is non-existent as Olson has done a poor job in executing a solid game plan for this offense since the departure of former head coach Jon Gruden.

For the Raiders to even have a shot at victory here, the offensive play-calling has to improve, Derek Carr and this offense may not be up to par lately, but the play-calling surely has not given them the chance to succeed.
