The Offensive Line
The 20 pressures allowed on Derek Carr this past week against the Kansas City Chiefs were not only bad but embarrassing. The Chiefs can be praised for several things –however, a stout defense is not one of them.
The Raiders offensive line was manhandled this past weekend as the Chiefs defense was able to get to quarterback Derek Carr on what seemed like every possession. And the issue here is that this offensive line will now be facing off against one of the best defenses in the league.
We touched on Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney earlier this week as they are going to be key to a Browns victory or loss in this one, the fearsome two-some have a combined 20 sacks this season (with 15 belonging to Garrett alone), and will look to give this inexperienced and disappointing offensive line all it can handle come Saturday.
If the Raiders want to even have a chance at victory in this matchup, this offensive line must work with offensive line coach Tom Cable to devise a plan to do all it can to stop the pressure from this dangerous defense. If they perform even remotely close to the lethargic performance of last week, this game could be ugly for Las Vegas.
