The Las Vegas Raiders will battle it out against Cleveland in Week 15, and here is how they can secure the victory on the road.
After a week of seeing multiple players on the Cleveland Browns roster get ruled out due to COVID-19, the NFL decided to postpone the Las Vegas Raiders game against them on Saturday. While the league had stated games would not be postponed, apparently they were just kidding, as multiple games have been moved to next week.
Now, with a game on Monday, it is time to take a deep dive into the matchup and see how the Raiders can come away with the victory.
Raiders: 3 Keys to victory against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15
No. 1: Establish the run game
Last season, the Raiders were able to pick up the win against Cleveland thanks to their exploits on the ground. In a game where the weather was a factor in terms of the passing game, Josh Jacobs went off, racking up nearly 130 yards on over 30 carries, a tremendous workload from the eventual Pro Bowl back.
On Monday, that has to be the game plan once again, as the weather will be an issue, and we know that Derek Carr struggles in bad elements. Maybe the passing game can come alive, but the best-case scenario would be Jacobs controlling the game on the ground, taking a lot of clock, and winning a close, low-scoring battle.
