Raiders: 3 Keys to victory against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15

No. 3: Take shots downfield

Last weekend, the Raiders’ offense struggled in a big way against the Chiefs, and it was clear that they had no answer in the run, or passing game. The week before, the Raiders never took a shot against the Washington Football Team, a game plan that was so crucial in their victory against Dallas, when they threw the ball downfield to DeSean Jackson a ton.

Against Cleveland, the Raiders cannot afford to be so bland on the offensive side of the ball, as they should take shots against a depleted Browns secondary early and often. That will not only force the Browns to respect the deep passing game but will also open up the run game, which is the key to the Raiders controlling this matchup from the outset.

If Las Vegas loses to the Browns on Monday afternoon, their season will essentially be over in terms of them making the playoffs. This has been another terrible collapse for the Silver and Black in the second half, but hopefully, until 2019 and 2020, they can claw their way back into playoff contention.
