Las Vegas Raiders: 4 players the team needs to extend this offseason

Maxx Crosby

In the 2019 NFL Draft, an edge rusher was the top priority, especially after Jon Gruden traded away Khalil Mack before the 2018 season. That 2018 Raiders squad was historically bad in terms of getting after the quarterback, so it was no big surprise when the Silver and Black added an edge rusher at pick No. 4 overall.

The big surprise was the player, as Clelin Ferrell was the selection over Josh Allen, who many felt was the No. 2 edge rusher in the class behind Nick Bosa. Well, Ferrell has not worked out in terms of becoming a sack master at the next level, but the edge rusher they took in the fourth round, Maxx Crosby certainly has become a lethal threat coming off the edge.

Crosby is a player who needs to be one of the facest of this franchise, and if I were the general manager, extending him would be one of the top priorities moving forward. He is someone who demands attention every time he is on the field and brings the kind of attitude that this franchise needs to be built around.
