Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns: Studs and Duds from Week 15
By Brad Weiss
The Las Vegas Raiders notched win No. 7 on the 2021 season Monday night, and here are the Studs and Duds from the 16-14 victory.
The Las Vegas Raiders went into their game against the Cleveland Browns in desperate need of a victory. The losers of five of their last six games, the Raiders saw their 5-2 start become 6-7 with their recent run of sorry play, and a loss against Cleveland would have essentially eliminated them from playoff contention.
Well, the Raiders won on Monday night, though late in the game it looked like they would put together one of the more embarrassing losses in team history. Cleveland had nearly 20 players out due to COVID-19 protocol, but still, there were the Raiders, down by one point with under four minutes left in the game.
A Derek Carr interception after the Browns’ only touchdown of the game looked to be the nail in the coffin for the Raiders 2021 season, but the defense got a stop and gave Carr one more chance to do what he always does, win games late. Daniel Carlson had to kick two 48-yard field goals to earn the win, as a timeout was used to try and freeze him, but in the end, Las Vegas left Cleveland with a 7-7 record.
Here, we take a look at the Studs and Duds from the 16-14 victory on the road.
