Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Week 16 Fantasy Football Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em
Start ‘Em:
Daniel Carlson
Obviously not the “DC” you were expecting — but if you are in a league with a kicker involved, you can’t do much better than the newly resigned Daniel Carlson. The 26-year-old Carlson is one of the best kickers in the NFL, he is second in field goals made, while also in the top three in overall points.
With a Raiders offense that has been abysmal for the most part in the second half of this season, the kicker has been one of the most consistent offensive forces for this Raiders team. If you are in a league with a kicker, his efficiency and points scored can win you a key matchup and maybe even a league.
Derek Carr:
The other DC did not perform spectacularly in the low-scoring clash in Cleveland, and his second-half season numbers have been pretty poor — especially compared to his surging first half. However, considering how he fared against the Broncos earlier in the season, just maybe Carr can get back on track.
After throwing for over 340 yards and two scores in the last matchup, Carr shredded the Broncos secondary, and with the hopeful return of tight end Darren Waller, the Raider captain might finally return to his early-season form.
Maybe Carr does not have the receiving crew he had in that last victory, but with the Raiders in dire need of a victory, look to the captain to try and replicate his once dazzling form from his prior game against this defense.
