A final decision on Derek Carr

The constant questions around whether Derek Carr is genuinely the answer at quarterback have been an ongoing debate amongst fans for years now.

And many times, it seems like the fanbase is split 50/50 on the answer to that question. However, with the Raiders getting a new head coach in the offseason, his most significant decision will be what to do with Carr.

And if the Raiders decide to replace general manager Mike Mayock, this decision could get even more intriguing.

Carr has undoubtedly shown the ability to be a high-level quarterback, but his lack of consistency has shown itself repeatedly. He is entering the final year of his contract in 2022, so the money it will cost to keep him will no longer be team-friendly.

The next head coach must quickly choose and establish the Raiders’ future at quarterback.
