Las Vegas Raiders run over Broncos, stay alive in AFC Playoff race

Looking Ahead

Week 17 will bring the biggest game of the Raiders season so far, as they travel to Indianapolis to take on the upstart Colts. Led by an elite running back in Johnathan Taylor, the Colts have been running all over their opponents as of late, and are fresh off victories against the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals their last two times out.

Indianapolis is dealing with a bunch of COVID issues right now, including some of their key defenders, including all-world linebacker Darius Leonard. The Raiders should be able to run against them, much like they did against Denver in this one, but the turnovers have to stop if they are going to be legitimate contenders over the next two weekends.

Las Vegas has a golden opportunity to punch their ticket to the playoffs over the next two games, but they will have to play better than they did in this one if they hope to win next week. Colts quarterback Carson Wentz is nothing to send home about, much like Lock, but being able to stop this elite run game could be more than they bargained for.
