Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos: Instant reactions from Week 16

Carr has to cut down on the turnovers

There is no doubt that if the Las Vegas Raiders are going to do anything to get to the playoffs or anything in the playoffs, they need strong play from Derek Carr. An eighth-year starter for the franchise, Carr has done everything you can in terms of statistics but is not considered a winning quarterback, as his career record is one of the worst for a starter in NFL history.

Still, he is having another solid season for the Raiders, tossing for over 4,000 yards once again, and putting this team on his back time and time again. However, he is also proving to be way too turnover-prone in recent weeks, and that reared its ugly head once again in this one, as he threw for an interception, and also lost two fumbles.

The interception was a pick-six towards the end of the first half that just should not have been thrown, and it seems like every time he gets sacked the ball comes loose. Las Vegas, and Carr, cannot afford any more of that to happen down the stretch, because these final two games, and the hopefully playoff contests are certain to come down to the wire.
