The Las Vegas Raiders were able to come away with a victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 16, and here are some instant reactions from the victory.

On Sunday, the Las Vegas Raiders knew they needed a victory if they wanted to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. After watching the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens lose earlier in the day, it was clear their chances got better, but they needed to do their part and beat the Denver Broncos at home to continue their good fortune.

Early on, this one looked like it was going to go Denver’s way, as turnovers killed the Silver and Black in the first half, and they happened on back-to-back plays. A fumble by Josh Jacobs set up the Broncos’ second field goal of the second quarter, pulling them within one before a Derek Carr fumble on the Raiders’ next play from scrimmage landed in Bradley Chubb’s hands for a pick-six.

That gave the Broncos a 13-7 halftime lead, and the momentum, but the Raiders got the ball at the half, and while it was not pretty, they were able to fight their way back, scoring the only points of the second half, winning 17-13. The Silver and Black made a point to run the ball in the second half, and that strategy worked, as they pounded Denver into submission.

Here, we look at instant offensive takeaways from win No. 8.
