Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos: 3 things we learned

Las Vegas is still very much alive in the AFC

The wins against Cleveland and Denver were nice, and they were much-needed, but the real tasks are ahead of the Raiders across the next two weeks. The first team up will be the Indianapolis Colts, who may not have much in terms of the quarterback position, but they have an elite running back, as well as a defense that can really put the clamps on teams.

In Week 18, it will be a rematch against the Los Angeles Chargers, a team that has already beaten the Raiders once this year, a 28-14 loss on the road to give the Raiders their first defeat of the season. Los Angeles looked terrible in Week 16, losing to the Houston Texans, but they were also dealing with a ton of COVID issues and will be at full strength by the time they head to Vegas.

Entering Week 17, and still alive in the playoff race after everything this team has been through this season is a testament to the leaders on this team. The 2021 campaign has been a roller coaster on and off the field, but here the Raiders are, in control of their own destiny, and with a chance to change the narrative over the next two weeks.
