Raiders vs Broncos: Offensive Grades for 2021 Week 16

Running Backs

It happened it finally happened! A Raiders running back finished with more than 100 yards rushing in a game this season not named Peyton Barber.  Josh Jacobs dominated this game on the ground and his fumble doesn’t factor into this equation because it was on a reception and not a rush (joking).

Jacobs didn’t have a rushing touchdown in this game but still finished the game with 129 yards on 27 carries.  Peyton Barber, who did have the rushing touchdown finished with 22 yards on five carries, and Jalen Richard pitched in four yards on one carry officially making it that every single running back that ran the ball for the Raiders in this game averaged at least four yards per carry.

None of the running backs were able to affect the game in the passing game except with Jalen Richard providing great pass protection like he has been known to do. This is exactly the type of team that this coaching staff wants the Raiders to be a team that can run the ball down a opponents throat and be able to put a game away.

It’s nice to finally see that vision play out on the field after such a struggle it’s been running the ball this season.
