Raiders potential draft picks to watch in the 2021-22 College Football Playoff

No. 2 Michigan Wolverines

David Ojabo, Defensive End

The Michigan Wolverines have some of the best edge rushers in the country, and one of them, Aidan Hutchinson could be the first overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Not to be outdone, David Ojabo is another guy who should go in the first round, and while he is not a top-10 pick, he is someone who will go in the second half of the first.

Ojabo is an interesting player, as he could play both edge rusher or even some outside linebacker at the next level. The Raiders need all the talent they can get on the defensive side of the ball, and Ojabo is someone who figures to grade out pretty high in the draft process.

Daxton Hill, Safety

The Wolverines have talent on all three levels of their defense, and in the secondary, they have one of the better safeties in this draft class. Some mock drafts have Daxton Hill going in the first round, but I believe he is going to be a Day 2 pick when all is said and done, making him a target of the Raiders.

We still do not know what we are going to get out of Johnathan Abram from week to week, and with how good Trevon Moehrig was as a rookie, the Raiders are set at least at one of the safety spots for the long haul. Hill would be an excellent complement to Moehrig, but questions remain as to whether he is going to play in the College Football Playoff.

Hassan Haskins, Running Back

Moving on to a possible Day 3 pick for the Wolverines, the Raiders could be in the market to use one of their two fifth-round picks on a running back. Sure, they paid a ton of money to Kenyan Drake to backup Josh Jacobs, but as we saw this season, Drake was bitten by the injury bug.

Hassan Haskins is a guy who was outstanding for the Wolverines this season, rushing for five touchdowns against Ohio State, and is going to be a solid depth running back at the next level.
