Raiders potential draft picks to watch in the 2021-22 College Football Playoff

No. 1 Alabama

Jameson Williams, Wide Receiver

When putting together my recent mock draft for FanSided, I picked Jameson Williams to the Raiders, a pick that would be outstanding in the middle of the first round. Sure, the Raiders have not had a lot of luck with Alabama players as of late, see Henry Ruggs III and Alex Leatherwood, but Williams is not a playmaker to pass up on.

Next season, the Raiders need that wide receiver who is going to take the top off the defense, and Williams has that kind of big-play ability. Having him on a roster with Hunter Renfrow and Bryan Edwards would give the Raiders three young and talented wideouts to build the position group around.

Christian Harris, Linebacker

In the 2022 NFL Draft, there are not many first-round linebackers, but there are some players who could go on Day 2, possibly early. One of those players is Alabama linebacker Christian Harris, who some mock in the first round, but mostly he is viewed as a second-round draft pick.

Harris would be an excellent addition to this defense, as they lack depth at the linebacker spot, and the position group as a whole could look a lot different in 2022.

Jordan Battle, Safety

The safety spot, as we talked about early, is one that the Raiders could key in on this offseason, especially if they decide that Johnathan Abram is not a long-term solution. Trevon Moehrig is here to stay and should be an elite player down the road, but behind him, there is not much talent, especially now that Abram is done for the year.

Jordan Battle is a playmaking safety for the Crimson Tide, and his style of play matches well with what Moehrig does. Battle is most likely a Day 2 pick in 2022, and the Raiders have to keep an eye on him if he is available in rounds 2 or 3.
