Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts: 3 Raiders to watch in Week 17

Denzel Perryman

Denzel Perryman has been a revelation at middle linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders this season, and was rewarded with a very deserving Pro Bowl nod, the first linebacker for the Raiders selected to the Pro Bowl since Matt Millen in 1988.

That’s why Raider Nation was in such a panic on Monday when he and six of his other defensive teammates got placed on the reserve COVID list, but with these new rules just put in place on Tuesday, they all have a real shot in returning for the game against the Colts which is great news for the Raiders defense.

Perryman is sixth in all the NFL in tackles with 138, and was the leader a few weeks ago, before missing a few games due to injury. Like I mentioned on the previous page that Josh Jacobs will be the most important part of the Raiders offense, Perryman will be that for the defense on Sunday.

Going against Jonathan Taylor at this moment is like going against Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, as he is the best player at his position right now, and needs to be neutralized. This will cause the Las Vegas defense to force Carson Wentz to throw the ball, and that is the best-case scenario in this matchup.
