Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts: 3 bold predictions in Week 17
Las Vegas Raiders at Indianapolis Colts: 3 bold predictions
Bold Prediction #3: The Raiders’ offense is given a chance to win
The Raiders’ defense has been nothing short of spectacular over the last two weeks, being the main catalyst for both victories. In three of the last four weeks, the Las Vegas defense has allowed 17 or fewer points.
The offense, on the other hand, has struggled mightily. Since the Raiders lost Henry Ruggs III to a non-football tragedy, their offense has managed to put up more than 20 points just one single time. They have been plagued with drops, fumbles, untimely penalties, and just all-around poor execution.
With two remaining must-win games against formidable opponents, the Raiders must find their offense fast to reach the playoffs. On Sunday, I expect the offense will get an opportunity to prove themselves.
Other than the bad Chiefs losses, the Raiders’ defense has kept them in the game every week, waiting for the sputtering offense to come alive. There have been glimpses, like their prolific second-half rushing attack last week. This week, though, it will all need to come together.
The defense will once again keep the Raiders in the game on Sunday. It will be there for the offense’s taking. The only question is whether or not they can do so.
