The Raiders will look to punch their ticket to the playoffs Sunday night, and here are three key matchups for their battle against the Chargers.

The last time the Las Vegas Raiders faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers, the season and fortunes of both teams looked significantly different than where we are today. In fact, the Raiders roster is largely a lot different, and enter this matchup with a different head coach in Rich Bisaccia.

The Week 4 loss to the Chargers was a tiny blemish on one of the most promising starts in a Raiders season in near decades, and both teams looked to be in prime position to not only compete for the AFC West but also a playoff berth as the favorites in the Kansas City Chiefs struggled heavily into the start of the 2021 season.

Fast forward to Week 18, the Chiefs have already clinched their sixth AFC crown in a row, and the Chargers and Raiders have identical records with a winner take all scenario to advance to the Wildcard round of the playoffs.

The clash in Las Vegas this week is going to be a raucous occasion, and the Vegas faithful will be loud and in abundance as the Raiders hope to not only exact revenge on the Chargers but clinch their first playoff appearance since 2016.

I will go over three key matchups in this contest which will be on display in this do-or-die game against the rival Chargers.
