2022 NFL 7-Round Mock Draft: Las Vegas Raiders fix offensive voids early
The Las Vegas Raiders thought that 2020 first-round pick Henry Ruggs III would be their WR1 of the future, and at the beginning of the year, he started to look the part. Unfortunately, we all know how this story ends, and it ended up being Hunter Renfrow who stepped up and is in the middle of what could be a historic season for the Silver and Black.
Looking ahead, the Raiders need to do something to bolster the talent around Renfrow, and if they pass on a wide receiver in the first round, they should not wait much longer. In the second round of our mock draft, Las Vegas adds Purdue playmaker David Bell, who not only has the size to go up and get the 50-50 balls but has the speed to take the lid off a defense.
Bell would slide it as a top-3 option in the passing game, and likely the WR2 behind Renfrow, and just above another 2020 pick, Bryan Edwards. That would give Derek Carr, or whoever the QB is in 2022, three solid wideouts atop the depth chart, as well as having one of the best tight ends in football in Darren Waller in the passing game.
