Las Vegas Raiders vs Los Angeles Chargers: 3 bold predictions in Week 18

Carr throws for three touchdowns

Back in their Week 4 loss Derek Carr nearly sparked a comeback win, throwing for two touchdowns in the second half and getting Las Vegas’ offense going after a sluggish first-half start. While Carr still ranks in the top five for passing leaders this season, he hasn’t thrown for two touchdowns since  Week 10 against Kansas City, and he’s yet to throw for more than two touchdowns in a single game all season.

What better moment to break that stat than in the season finale when the stakes are clear. It won’t be easy, as the Chargers’ secondary is more than capable of holding its own and their run defense is actually the weak link of that unit. Josh Jacobs’ will need to run angry to set the pace and open opportunities downfield through play action.

But Carr has been clutch down the stretch of the season, leading game-winning drives twice in the past three games and proving to make the right play when it matters most. And with some extra motivation courtesy of Joey Bosa, Carr should be more than motivated to win the game through the air.
