Raiders vs Chargers: Offensive Grades for 2021 Week 18
Wide Receivers
Despite the offensive not accumulating many yards through the air, the wide receivers still had a good game all things considered.
The leader in yards for the Raiders receivers was Bryan Edwards. He finished with 63 yards on 4 receptions. Only two other receivers (not including running backs or tight ends) made it on the stat sheet; Hunter Renfrow and Zay Jones. Jones finished with only 27 yards and Renfrow with only 15. It is not all about yards though, of course.
Edwards, Jones, and Renfrow all three made big catches when needed be. Hunter Renfrow caught two touchdowns, both in the RedZone with spectacular route-running, as is par the course for one of the best slot receivers in the league.
Zay Jones also came up with some clutch catches, two in overtime which were crucial in regards to coming away with a win. Both were tough-tapping catches along the sideline, the second of which was on 3rd and 8 while tied 32-32.
It’s about quality, not quantity, and the quality of the wideout’s production here was great.
