Las Vegas Raiders Wild Card vs Bengals: A few bold predictions

They will keep Ja’Marr Chase under 100 yards receiving

Chase has been a revelation for the Bengals right out of the gate. Burrow’s teammate at LSU, Chase, was chosen with the fifth overall pick last April, much to the chagrin of some folks. Many assumed that the organization would go offensive line early on in the draft, but they opted to give their franchise quarterback a legitimate weapon instead. It’s worked out marvelously for all parties involved. Chase has posted 1,455 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl nod.

When Chase faced the Raiders back in Week 11, he was relatively quiet. His totals were three catches for 32 yards, and his longest reception went for 10 yards. Though he managed to find the endzone once, the damage was still minimal through the air. In fact, no one on the Bengals got more than 50 receiving yards. Chase only played five snaps in the regular-season finale, but I expect the Raiders to blanket Chase again. He’ll likely find the endzone maybe once, but the Raiders will limit his big play ability. One of the other receivers might break the century mark, but Gus Bradley won’t let Chase be the one to do so.
