Plenty of hope for the Raiders to return to the playoffs next year
Raiders need to sign everyone, well not everyone, but you know what I mean
The Raiders will be back in the postseason if they spend wisely in free agency this year. The organization heads into free agency with roughly $40 million in cap space, per Over The Cap. As mentioned earlier, the fact that Carr can return and play on a one-year deal would be immensely beneficial for the Raiders.
There will be some decisions made on some current pending free agents, but overall, the Silver and Black will be in good shape. If the team can have another successful free agency period as they did last year, that will lead to another postseason berth.
The team did a solid job of revamping their defense last offseason, and this year, they can do the same with their wide receiver corps. There will be a plethora of free agents available that the Raiders will likely pursue. Fans are hopeful that Davante Adams can rekindle his collegiate pairing with Carr, though he’ll likely be franchise tagged.
That doesn’t mean there won’t be other options such as Allen Robinson, Emmanuel Sanders, or Mike Williams. If the Raiders can properly address their deficiency at wide receiver, it will be another reason they can return to the playoffs.
