Raiders Wild Card vs Bengals: 3 studs, 3 duds from the loss
Studs – Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow
Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller have become an incredible combination for the Raiders and have developed into reliable targets for Derek Carr. Renfrow was phenomenal as the number one man in Las Vegas while Waller was out and the big tight end came through with a great performance after a lengthy layoff.
Waller didn’t look 100% in this game or against the Chargers but he gutted through it and provided a great outlet for this QB.
Renfrow had a solid game and he would’ve had nearly 100 yards on the day if the referees did not incorrectly call his long third-quarter incomplete. He has stepped up in a big way and we can only imagine what he could do if he was not constantly bracketed and double teamed by opposing defenses.
It’s a shame that neither of these players was given a chance on the final play of the game to make a big play for their offense but they were well covered by the Cinci defense. Get these guys a legitimate number one receiver (paging Davante Adams) and let them terrorize defenses as one of the best trios in the NFL.
