The Las Vegas Raiders can build on their defensive success from last season with this year’s draft, and here is our 3-round mock.

The Las Vegas defense improved by leaps and bounds this past season. While it wasn’t an elite unit, it was a far cry from what it had been under Paul Guenther in the three years prior. Gus Bradley, a proven defensive coordinator, and former head coach came in and turned around the Raiders’ fortunes in just one season.

In terms of giving up passing yards, Las Vegas finished 13th for the year. As far as rushing yards went, the defense surrendered 1,943, which was good for 23rd in the NFL. So, assuming that Bradley returns under whoever is the new Raiders’ head coach, the organization would surely reload the defense again.

Again, assuming that the Raiders don’t make a change at defensive coordinator, it would benefit the team to continue adding defensive talent via the draft. The Raiders landed three defensive starters in 2021.

They could add two more in this year’s player selection meeting.
