5 Raiders who most likely will not be back in Las Vegas in 2022

DeSean Jackson, WR

After the tragedy involving star wide receiver Henry Ruggs III went down, the Raiders knew they had to do something in terms of a deep threat at the position. With no real burner on the roster, they added a veteran in DeSean Jackson, who had a terrible debut against Kansas City, a game that saw him make one of the more boneheaded plays of the season.

Jackson had a few moments with the Raiders, but nothing that would warrant the team bringing him back in 2022. In fact, I believe that wide receiver, especially a deep threat, is a position that the Raiders will target in the 2022 NFL Draft, and that would render Jackson a player that is expendable this offseason.

Jackson was a nice pickup in the second half but was really only brought in to be a player the team could rely on down the stretch of a playoff run. Sure, they could bring him back on a cheap salary to provide leadership, but in terms of him having a real impact on the field next season, I would say those days are over.
