Allen Robinson as the Raiders next star wide receiver makes sense

Can the Raiders afford Robinson?

The Raiders have some decisions to make concerning their wide receiver group this offseason. For example, both Zay Jones and DeSean Jackson are unrestricted free agents. The question will be whether either one of these two played well enough to earn a commitment from the Raiders beyond this past season.

As for Robinson, his deal with the Bears was worth upwards of $25 million, per Spotrac. His signing bonus went for $6 million, but it’d be hard to imagine coughing up bank-breaking coin for Robinson considering his numbers last year.

Big-picture, Robinson can still be a team’s number one wideout. If he joined the Raiders, he’d have the benefit of having Waller, Renfrow, and Edwards to help spread out defenses. Renfrow alone proved to be too much for opposing defenses and that was without Waller on the field. Imagine a stable of weapons featuring all of these men? Carr would have a field day every week in 2022.
