Las Vegas Raiders need to make Davante Adams priority No. 1

His Chemistry with Derek Carr

Carr and Adams have history and chemistry. As stated earlier, both Carr and Adams played together at Fresno State, where both players cemented themselves as all-time greats in the college’s football program. And to this day, the pair are still best friends.

Reuniting in the Silver and Black would rekindle the same type of productivity that the duo had in college.

During last year’s offseason, when it was rumored that Adams was planning on requesting a trade, Carr made it known that he would do everything in his power to recruit him to Vegas. Now that he’ll be a free agent, that likely hasn’t changed. With enough persuasion, Carr may be able to get Adams to leave Wisconsin and come to Nevada, even if that means Adams has to take a bit less money than what the highest bidder is offering.

If it turns out that Las Vegas trades Derek Carr, then the chances of Adams suiting up for the Raiders diminish to zero. If he comes to Vegas it will be because Carr is there and because the money is right, not because he wants to play for the Raiders. So, if Las Vegas wants Adams, then they’ll likely have to extend Carr.
