Las Vegas Raiders: 2019 NFL Draft brought cornerstone players on Day 3
Looking ahead
It remains to be seen what the team plans to do with Jacobs and Abram, as teams are very wary of paying big money to running backs, and Abram has not been consistent enough to warrant a big deal. When it comes to Ferrell, he has not become the player the Raiders were hoping for, and based on all the talent the team has brought in defensive tackle, and with the free-agent signing of Yannick Ngakoue, he has no starting role.
However, when it comes to these two Day 3 picks, the Raiders have to go above and beyond to make sure they get them under contract. Not only have they become two of the more productive players in the NFL, but they have become a few of the faces of this organization, as they do the right things both on and off the field.
Las Vegas won ten games this past season and were the No. 5 seed in the AFC, all the while going through so many issues throughout the year. They have to start locking down elite home-grown talent for the long haul if they hope to remain a playoff team, and Renfrow and Crosby seem like two guys who would not mind being Raiders for life.
