Raiders moving Alex Leatherwood back to RT could be disastrous

Any short-term solutions regarding Leatherwood?

Another scenario we might see play out is that Las Vegas has Leatherwood resume duties at right tackle. The hope would be that he could bounce back in his sophomore campaign, i.e., Kolton Miller gaining his form in Year 2.

If the Raiders went this route, management would then have to sign an interior lineman to offset Leatherwood’s move back to right tackle. Denzelle Good is expected to return and take one of the starting guard positions. Richie Incognito, on the other hand, is unlikely to return after being unable to play in 2021 due to years of wear and tear.

From what we saw in Leatherwood, he does not have the feet to play on the outside and is more suited to play along the interior. Starting him at right tackle could have disastrous consequences next season, as the play of the offensive line was a huge reason for their issues down the stretch.
