Raiders need to trade for Ryan Ramczyk amid Saints turmoil

Ramczyk instantly improves the Raiders’ o-line

Ramczyk has been a consistent force with the Saints since being drafted with the 32nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. From 2017 through 2020, the former Wisconsin Badger missed only one regular season game. Unfortunately, landing on the COVID list and suffering a knee injury affected his availability this past season. He played in only 10 games but appears to be on his way back to full strength.

Let’s not forget, Ramczyk is only a year removed from being on the NFL’s Top 100 list; he was 82nd in 2020. That year, the tackle was an AP Second Team All-Pro. The year before, Ramczyk was All Pro across the board with the Associated Press, Pro Football Weekly, Pro Football Writers, and Pro Football Focus.

PFF also gave Ramczyk solid grades all around; his overall grade was 84.7. Meanwhile, his run blocking was graded at 86.6 and his pass blocking was graded at 73.0. It might come at a risky cost, but the Raiders should do their due diligence and kick the tires on Ramczyk sooner rather than later.
