Foster Moreau

Drafted in 2019, it has been an up and down career for tight end Foster Moreau, a player who showed so much promise as a rookie. During his rookie season, Moreau showed that he could be a real weapon in the red zone and a possible TE2 behind star Darren Waller at the position.

However, his season ended with injury, and in Year 2, the Raiders inexplicably brought in Jason Witten to take all of his snaps. That was a terrible move by head coach Jon Gruden, as I believe it stunted Moreau’s growth, making the 2021 NFL season really his second full season at the NFL level.

When Darren Waller went down with a significant injury during the team’s Thanksgiving Day matchup against Dallas, everyone in Raider Nation felt that Moreau could step in and do a tremendous job. However, outside of a seven-catch game against Cleveland, Moreau did not play a big part in this offense, failing to score a single touchdown, and leaving the fans wanting more.
