Amik Robertson

The story of Amik Robertson during his time with the Raiders has been one of incredible potential, but very little production. Brought in to help fix a cornerback room that had been an Achilles Heel for this franchise for years, Robertson flashed as a rookie, and many felt that he could be the team’s future at slot corner.

However, despite playing in ten games, and making two starts, Robertson’s play on the field has left much more to be desired. In fact, with the arrival of Nate Hobbs as a legitimate star in Year 1, and the outside cornerback spots not really an option, you have to wonder whether or not Robertson is ever going to get his footing with this franchise.

Las Vegas was looking for young talent to come in and help at this very important position group, and through his first two seasons, Robertson has not been an answer. He was left inactive down the stretch, and even in the playoff game, which is a good indicator that the franchise has run out of patience for him to turn it around.
