Las Vegas Raiders: Grading the 2020 Draft class after Year 2
By Nico Di Fede
Round 3, Pick 100: Tanner Muse, LB/S
National champion Tanner Muse would be the Raider’s third and final selection in the 3rd round. Despite playing safety in college, the team planned to convert him to linebacker.
Well, that didn’t work out like it did for Divine Deablo this year. Muse would sit out the entirety of the year after being placed on IR. This is after reports of him struggling during camp.
Muse would be cut in September 2021 before ever logging a single snap for the Raiders. He would be signed by the Seahawks a couple of days later and eventually called up to the active roster where he played special teams.
Muse had great measurables at the combine and was a prospect I liked, but he was a project. Nobody predicted he would be drafted that high regardless of his athleticism and potential and so this is yet another big reach from the front office.
