Where does Raiders Derek Carr land in our complete AFC QB rankings?

16. . . . Josh Allen. 3. player

Truthfully, the top three can be arranged in almost any order. However, in my opinion, Josh Allen ends up here. Once a prospect from lowly Wyoming that was drafted in hopes of developing his obvious tools, Josh Allen has become an elite NFL quarterback. With 4,407 yards and 36 touchdowns, few players had as good of a season as the Bills young passer.

What he followed this up with was even more impressive. In Buffalos’ first playoff game against the New England Patriots, Allen and the Bills played a perfect game on offense. Allen himself finished 21/25 for 308 yards and five touchdowns. Allen’s offense scored a touchdown on every drive that wasn’t a kneel down.

The fireworks continued the next week as the Bills and Chiefs played one of the greatest games in NFL history. Although his team fell short, Allen put forth a herculean effort with 329 yards and four touchdowns.

In 2022, Josh Allen will be tasked with following up on one of the greatest postseason performances of all time, despite the early exit. Regardless, Allen is one of the most physically gifted passers of all time and, somehow, keeps getting better. His duels with the other quarterbacks in the division will be appointment television for a long time.
