The Las Vegas Raiders need to start building for the future, and by the future, we mean the quarterback position with a new regime coming in.

Whether the Raiders extend Derek Carr for another two to three years or if the signal-caller returns to play out his final contractual year, the foundation for the future needs to be laid. Carr has been the Raiders franchise quarterback for eight seasons and heading into Year 9, it is time for the franchise to either commit long-term or let him finish out his deal.

While the quarterback class isn’t being heralded by many, there’s still plenty of talent that can flourish in the right situation. Whether it’s Josh McDaniels, Todd Bowles, or someone else, the offense needs to be rebuilt in some capacity, specifically the offensive line and at wide receiver.

For the Raiders, they are fresh off a ten-win season, earning the No. 5 spot in the AFC, and doing so despite a season that had so much turmoil on and off the field. With a new general manager coming in, they have to get this draft right, especially early, and they could turn some heads with their first-round selection.

So, with that being said, let’s take a look at a potential mock scenario for the Raiders.
