Raiders will have two fifth-round picks, so who do they choose?

Having the luxury of two fifth-round picks will allow the Raiders to replenish two positions in need of youth. We’re, of course, referring to the cornerback position and the offensive line. The secondary will get another boost from drafting the former Crimson Tide corner, Jalyn Armour-Davis. Damon Arnette is now officially a bust, and a similar tag can be used for Amik Robertson. This six-foot-one, 192-pound corner can make up for those two draft failures.

The SEC’s fifth-ranked defensive player in interceptions, with three in 2021, possesses solid coverage skills. You can also add four pass deflections in his junior year to his resume. His 81.5 PFF coverage grade also backs up his skillset in that department. This is a no-brainer if he’s there in the fifth round.

The six-foot-six, 301-pound First-Team All-Southern lineman had nine starts at left guard but also had two at left tackle last year. In an effort to rebuild the offensive line, the Raiders would do themselves a favor by picking up Cole Strange.

A lean interior lineman, Strange has a keen awareness for a young player as he showcased an ability to pick up blitzes that developed seconds before a snap. Recognizing defenses and realizing what’s coming will serve him well in the NFL.
