2nd Round, WR Jahan Dotson, Penn State

The Raiders need help with the wide receiver position. Yes, Hunter Renfrow was spectacular in 2021, and under McDaniels, he’ll surely have another Pro Bowl-worthy season. Outside of Renfrow, the cupboard is somewhat bare. Adding Jahan Dotson by way of Penn State could pay big dividends.

In a deep wide receiver class, the Raiders could come away with a playmaker in the second round this April. Pro Football Focus graded his receiving abilities at 87.2, which is impressive. In college, he displayed an ability to consistently find the endzone. He scored 20 touchdowns in his last two collegiate seasons.

However, Dotson really made an impression in his final year, totaling 91 catches and 1,182 receiving yards, ending the season ranked fourth in the Big Ten with 13 touchdowns. The fact is, the Raiders will need to score more, and McDaniels is fully aware of this. Adding a weapon that can score in the red zone could give Carr a bevy of options next season.
