DJ Chark
If Las Vegas really can’t or won’t sign Davante Adams, then signing DJ Chark may make the most sense. It was only two years ago that Chark was a pro-bowler, finishing his best season with a little over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns. He led the Jacksonville Jaguars in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns in that 2019 season. What makes that so impressive was that he did it on a Jaguars team that essentially had no identity, losing Nick Foles for almost the entire year after just bringing him in the prior offseason.
The most enticing parts of Chark will likely be his big-play abilities and his price tag. Chark often utilizes his size and speed outside the hash marks to make plays deep downfield. When he does make a catch on a shorter route, he uses his footwork to create a decent number of yards after the catch. Also, he’ll likely be the cheapest option on this list since he only has one 1,000-yard season and is coming off an injury.
Like with Godwin and Landry, Ziegler will have to evaluate if Chark’s health concerns are serious enough to warrant passing him over. If he is good to go, then he could make a nice addition to a Las Vegas roster that already features studs like Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow.
