3 best fits for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 free agency
No. 2: Terron Armstead
The Saints are on the books for some hefty contracts, in fact, they have already made offensive tackle Ryan Ramcyzk the highest paid tackle in NFL history.
This leaves little wiggle room to pick up the tab on their other vaunted offensive tackle in Terron Armstead. The three-time Pro Bowl selection will be a tad older entering free agency as he will turn 31 before the season starts, but he is a pillar of consistency, which is heavily needed for a Raiders offensive line that was abysmal this season.
Signing the veteran lineman would pay huge dividends in many ways, not only would it solidify an offensive line that is patchy, to say the least, but also provide a veteran voice and leader. The contract could be hefty, but it would be for fewer years considering the age of Armstead.
Armstead is a very talented lineman, and from a position that can actually be productive for many years, he seems like a very worthy investment. Especially considering the pressure that was constantly allowed on quarterback Derek Carr.
Do not be surprised to see Armstead sign on the dotted line in Las Vegas this offseason.
