Christian Watson: Wide Receiver, North Dakota State

The wide receiver group in Mobile was not stacked with high-end talent, but that allowed some small school prospects to shine. North Dakota State’s Christian Watson took full advantage of the week and seemed to separate himself from the pack as the practices went on.

Watson brings a great blend of size (6’4), strong hands, and clocked with a maximum speed of 20.71. And he proved this week that the jump in the competition did not bother him at all.

The Raiders need better playmakers on the outside, and although Watson is not considered someone that could be a number one receiver, his skill set is worth taking a chance on. And with what he has shown, he could end up being one of the steals of the draft.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic said that Watson could enter the top 100 with a strong performance at the Senior Bowl, and he did just that.
