The Las Vegas Raiders hope to get back to the playoffs next season, but these five key players will need to develop more this offseason to do so.

The Las Vegas Raiders punched their ticket to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season this past year, eventually losing in the Wild Card round to the Cincinnati Bengals. The franchise has not won a playoff game in 20 years, and with a new general manager and head coach coming in, things are going to look a lot different next season.

Here, we look at five young players who desperately need to develop to have a role on this team next year.

5 Raiders who desperately need to develop in the 2022 offseason

No. 5: Trayvon Mullen

Before you go shouting that he is the team’s CB1, let us really take a look at what Trayvon Mullen has been able to accomplish since being a second-round pick of the team in 2019. He has battled injuries throughout his career, playing only one full season of his three-year career, and appeared in only five games last year.

He also has only four interceptions in his career to date, and while he has shown flashes that he can be that true CB1 on this team, this is a big offseason for him. He is entering his fourth season, and if he does not establish himself as an elite corner this year, the team has to seriously consider him as only a depth piece moving forward.
