5 Raiders who desperately need to develop in the 2022 offseason
No. 3: Bryan Edwards
The Las Vegas Raiders were counting on Bryan Edwards to take a major step forward this past season, serving as another key weapon on the outside opposite Henry Ruggs III. Both drafted in 2019, Ruggs and Edwards had yet to really get going at the NFL level, and the 2021 season would see one player’s career essentially end, and the other, Edwards, play inconsistent football throughout.
Edwards has all the physical gifts in a wide receiver you can build a position group around, and during his time at South Carolina, he was an absolute legend. Unfortunately, that has not translated over to the pro level, and while he has had his share of highlights through his first few seasons, this is a crucial summer for him.
Las Vegas is likely to target the wide receiver room in the draft or in free agency, and we already know they have a star in Hunter Renfrow at the position group. Edwards is going to have to prove he is going to be a big part of this roster moving forward because he is running out of time to show this franchise he is part of the solution.
