The Raiders will need help at corner but at what cost?

The current state of the Raiders’ cornerbacks’ room could be described as influx or perhaps, fluid. Damon Arnette is long gone now and while Trayvon Mullen was once a promising player, injuries took their toll in 2021, playing in only five games. The nickel slot is covered by Nate Hobbs as long as he can stay out of trouble.

However, the looming question is regarding Casey Hayward. He was without question the best defensive back last year and deserves to be paid like one, but that’s not the big concern. Will he want to play for Gus Bradley? Let’s not forget that the reason he came to Vegas was originally to come to play for Bradley and Jon Gruden.

Could he end up wanting to follow Bradley to Indianapolis, given their history? When you think about all of these factors, maybe Jackson is worth the impending cost?
