Marcus Mariota, Quarterback

One name that is going to be thrown around a lot this offseason is Marcus Mariota, the Raiders’ backup quarterback the last two seasons. Mariota is a player who is looking to land a starting job for the 2022 NFL season, and Indianapolis is a place that could be on his radar.

Mariota played in the AFC South for years as the starting quarterback for the Tennessee Titans and actually led that franchise to the playoffs. The Colts had a playoff-ready team in 2021, but they got terrible play from Carson Wentz, and the team could be looking to make a move at the position via the draft, or free agency.

If they do, Bradley certainly saw enough of Mariota last season to be able to let the franchise know whether or not he is still starting material at the NFL level. If Bradley does deem him worthy, the Colts are a perfect spot for Mariota to not only get his career back on track but do so in a division that he is very familiar with.
